Letter from the Editor

Inside ViewThe New Year is a fresh start, so to speak, and I’m glad to have a reason not to write the same old list of resolutions I write every year: exercise more, be patient with my kids, devise a better strategy for picking lottery numbers … Instead, I get my very own fresh start as the editor of Inside View. Last year, I edited Applause! and learned about all the awards and achievements of Health System faculty and staff. To say that I’m impressed by the combined brainpower of the people who work here is an understatement.

There is a lot of good stuff going on at our Health System to write about. I look forward to uncovering story ideas about the great work you’re doing. Each of us has a job that’s important—whether you’re in a clinic, a lab or an offsite location like me. I hope you’ll e-mail me at insideview@med.umich.edu to share your ideas. We at UMHS do make a difference to our patients and to each other. Inside View is our way to talk about it.
