Inside This Issue
Letter from the Editor

After three great years of creating and growing Inside View, I will be moving on from my role as editor to take on new challenges and allow this publication to blossom under new vision and perspective.

As someone who has been involved in Health System internal communications for more than four years, I know we face some major challenges, including building community when we have employees who work at different locations and on different shifts. That’s why, when faced with the challenge of planning my last issue as editor, I wanted to do something special to address this challenge—even if in a small way. Pages 4 and 5 feature “On the Night Shift,” a collection of stories giving well-deserved recognition to our colleagues who work at the hospital overnight. And what better way to enact a changing of the guard than to have Inside View’s new editor, Beth Johnson, write that story.

Inside View

Beth has been part of the Inside View team since March 2007. She also edits and manages Applause!, and is one of the most talented writers/editors/communicators I’ve had the pleasure of working with. She is the right person to take Inside View to the next level and I look forward to watching this publication continue to grow and prosper under her leadership. Remember, this is your newsletter, so keep the suggestions, story ideas and feedback coming!
