Research Description:

T cell-specific adapter protein (TSAd) has been demonstrated to be important in immune signaling and modulation. Mice deficient in this molecule present diminished IL-2 production and an age-dependent lupus-like systemic autoimmune disease. I am currently investigating further the role of TSAd in T-cell activation and effector function, specifically its role in lipid rafts following activation through the TCR.
