Research Description:

Pulmonary function relies upon the ability of the immune system to swiftly eradicate dangerous pathogens, while at the same time maintaining function. This goal is accomplished by a balance of pro- and anti-inflammatory cells and mediators. My goal is to identify and characterize a number of these in the context of viral lung disease and chronic allergic lung disease (asthma).
