Research Description
:

Our laboratory explores the interaction of intracellular bacterial pathogens with their host cells. We study the Gram-positive bacterium Listeria monocytogenes and other bacterial pathogens as tools with which to explore host mechanisms that regulate infection and innate immune signaling.


Projects in the lab include:

Determining key regulatory mechanisms by which macrophages initiate protective immunity in response to bacterial pathogens.

Defining host pathogen interactions that regulate infection by the intracellular bacterial pathogen Listeria monocytogenes
