Debbie Kovacevich holds a Bachelors of Science in Nursing and Masters Public Health degrees from the University of Michigan. Ms. Kovacevich received her Nursing Diploma from Bronson Methodist Hospital School of Nursing. She also holds an Adjunct Clinical Assistant Professor appointment in the College of Pharmacy at the University of Michigan contributing to the experiential training of Doctor of Pharmacy students. Ms. Kovacevich has practiced Nursing for over 30 years, working as a staff and charge nurse on a general surgical unit and the Surgical Intensive Care Unit. She has served as a Clinical Care Coordinator and Manager for the Parenteral and Enteral Nutrition Team in the Department of Pharmacy Services at the University of Michigan Hospitals and Health Centers
Ms. Kovacevich administration is Nurse Manager for HomeMed. Her current research and practice interests are focused in the areas of infusion and include: home parenteral and enteral nutrition, patient education, vascular access, catheter related blood stream infections and outcomes.
Ms. Kovacevich is highly active in the American Society for Parenteral and Enteral Nutrition and the Intravenous Nurses Society serving on local and national committees. Ms. Kovacevich serves on the Editorial Board of Nutrition in Clinical Practice and is the author of numerous articles and book chapters.
