The Multidisciplinary Liver Tumor Clinic, directed by Dr. Neehar Parikh and Dr. Chris Sonnenday, is held every Tuesday morning and Friday afternoon at the University of Michigan Cancer Center. The Clinic cares for patients with liver masses, liver cancers - primary or metastatic and chemotherapy induced liver disease. The multidisciplinary team includes hepatobiliary surgeons, hepatologists, medical and radiation oncologists, and interventional radiologists. This unique, patient centered program combines the expertise of various specialty groups with an excellent liver transplant program and our NIH designated Comprehensive Cancer Center.
Following an evaluation, complex cases are reviewed by our Multidisciplinary Liver Tumor Board, which meets weekly, with careful consideration of all treatment options. A personalized treatment plan is developed and discussed with every patient and subsequently implemented by our team.
