If you've experienced pain for no obvious reason, and thought it was all in your head, you may want to think again. UMHS researchers have found that women with a condition called vulvodynia process pain differently, and these women are more sensitive to pain in other areas of their bodies. |

How easy is it for teens to get illicit access to prescription drugs? Very, warns a U-M expert on prescription drug use. Many teens gain access from their family medicine cabinet, while ordering illicitly from the Internet is also surprisingly easy. |

Heart Health
An aspirin a day make keep the heart surgeon away, but that doesn't mean the people who can benefit are taking advantage. A team of researchers from UMHS reports that women, in particular, are less likely to follow though on aspirin therapy. |

Cancer Treatment
Fighting invasive bladder cancer often involves surgery to remove the bladder. In a new study, however, University of Michigan researchers report good results from surgery that leaves the bladder, and bladder function, mostly intact. |

Chronic Illness
Your money or your health? There's additional evidence that people who skimp on medication to save money pay a high price in poor health. Data from the U-M Institute for Social Research reveals that patients taking medications on a regular basis were more likely to suffer a health decline or a heart event if they had under-used their medications because of cost. |
