DEVELOPMENT AND CARCINOGENESIS

Our lab logo is a schematic diagram of an adrenal gland. The
central oval represents the adrenal medulla with the concentric ovals representing
(outer to inner) the three cortical zones; glomerulosa, fasciculata and
inner reticularis which synthesize mineralocorticoids, glucocorticoids
and sex steroids, respectively.
Included also is a metastasizing adrenal tumor shown invading the adrenal capsule and beyond. |
