history of southeast Michigan African Americans during
the critical period of 1940-1969. |

and attitudes of African Americans with regard to health
care in this geographic area. |

plus biographical information and photographs. |

about black-owned and -operated hospitals in the Detroit metropolitan
area during the 20th century. |
