Daniree DuoR&B, MOTOWN & COUNTRY
Danireé Duo

Daniel Goree, from the Pacific Northwest, and Donald “Bopper” Clark, a Michigan local, get together to take listeners on a journey through American music. Both of these musicians, Goree on lead guitar and Clark on bass, have been around the world, bringing sounds and perspectives to their interpretation of American rhythm & blues, Motown and country. Their music ranges from country standards of Waylon Jennings to R&B by Marvin Gaye to pop hits of Michael Jackson. The only thing you can expect is surprise at what they might pull out next.

Saline FiddlersFIDDLING, SONG & DANCE
The Saline Fiddlers

America's premier youth fiddling show band of music, song and dance, the Saline Fiddlers is comprised of 29 high school students from the Saline, Michigan area who play a variety of instruments: violin, viola, cello, guitar, electric bass, mandolin and drums. Since 1994, the Saline Fiddlers have undeniably set the standard for extracurricular music programs in the United States. What began as a simple idea of an alternative style of music education for public school students has grown into a model of instruction and motivation. Yet more importantly, it is a brilliant example of what young adults can and will achieve if given a direction and the opportunity to explore and pursue their interests. This concert is a part of the UMHS Summer Courtyard Concert Series.
