OLD TIME PIANO
Jerry Perrine
Jerry Perrine specializes in the classic American piano styles of ragtime, traditional jazz, blues and boogie-woogie. As a teenager, Jerry became fascinated with the ragtime piano music of Scott Joplin and others, and he taught himself how to play ragtime piano. As he studied the music and the history of that piano style, he learned of other styles and pianists such as Eubie Blake, Jelly Roll Morton, Fats Waller and many others. He learned how to play and compose in each style, and he has enjoyed performing old time piano music for nearly thirty years in Ann Arbor, Detroit and Chicago.

GUITJO & CELLO DUO
Acoustic Eidolon
Joe Scott and Hannah Alkire incorporate a rich blend of musical influences, including Celtic, contemporary, bluegrass and Latin music to create Acoustic Eidolon’s unique sound. As they perform throughout North America and Europe, Scott plays an instrument he invented: the double-neck guitjo, an acoustic guitar with two necks. Scott’s playing is even more impressive with the knowledge that he has triumphed over focal dystonia, a neurological disorder that affects his hand, by relearning how to play the guitar in a new way. Combine Scott’s talent with Alkire’s stunning tone and impeccable cello-playing, and you have an exciting new acoustic sound.

JAZZ AND R&B
All Directions
Originally formed in 1976, All Directions includes original members Mike Ager (keyboards) and Pat Sorise (drums) and now includes Kimberly Ringer (vocals), Eric Korte (saxophone) and Rich Riker (bass) — back in the area from his stint with the Jay Leno-Connan O’Brien band. Over the years the band has played such R&B and jazz landmarks as the Golden Falcon Jazz Lounge, Mr. Floods Party, the original “Blind Pig”, the Del Rio, Union Street One and Union Street Two. The group served as the house band for the renowned Cobb’s Corner Lounge in the late 70s and hosted a Sunday evening Jazz Jam, which featured some of Detroit’s all time jazz and R&B greats.
