FIDDLE & GUITAR MUSIC
by Gary Ritter
Gary Ritter was born in Detroit, Michigan and now lives in South Lyon, Michigan on a small farm with three horses and a violin, viola, cello and bass shop. This singer/songwriter’s style spans from country, bluegrass and old-time, to folk, rock and Celtic music. In Calgary, Alberta, Ritter performed at Canada's Stampede Rodeo, and in Key West Florida, he played at the late Ernest Hemingway’s favorite digs, Sloppy Joe's.

VINTAGE SWING
by the Royal Garden Trio
The Royal Garden Trio plays swing music reminiscent of the 1930’s, but with an ear toward the future of improvisational jazz. The partnership of Brian Delaney on guitar, Tom Bogardus on tenor guitar and clarinet, and Mike Karoub on cello is synergetic. Blending a sound of the Parisian café with the American nightclub, they manage to be fresh, original and sophisticated without being exotic. The group covers an exciting repertoire including traditional jazz, classic show tunes and gypsy-style swing.

SWING
by Swinging Strings
Swinging Strings highlights the often overlooked contributions of string instruments — bass, guitar and violin — to jazz. With Kurt Krahnke on bass, Rod McDonald on guitar, and Paul Winder on violin and viola, this ambitious trio takes on works by some of the lesser known jazz violin greats such as Joe Venuti and Stuff Smith. You can also expect to hear music from the rich jazz traditions of the 1920's, 30's, and 40's, including Irving Berlin, Hoagy Carmichael, Cole Porter, Fats Waller, Walter Donaldson and Duke Ellington.
