ACOUSTIC FOLK ROCK

Premiering at this show is a newly formed group with members from
Manifest. Souls Alike, performing acoustic folk/rock, has the buzz
of newly formed creativity. Led by Robert Huffman, a Music Therapist
for Child and Family Life at UMHS on guitar and vocals, with Tracy
Huffman on vocals, Jim McKinsey on bass and vocals and Kyle Rasmussen
on percussion, Souls Alike is sure to stir your soul.

AMERICAN POP
by The Choral Connection
Carolyn Tjon Burnstein directs this 20-member troupe to sing and
dance its way through a wide range of music. Popular songs and jazz
standards include unforgettable numbers by Cole Porter, Fats Waller
and Duke Ellington as well as fun-filled tunes from the 50's and
60's. Additional highlights include Broadway favorites from past
and present musical theater classics, while parodies and novelty
numbers add pizzazz.

CHOIR
MUSIC
by the Madrigals
Directed by Anne Kolaczkowski-Magee, Madrigals is an audition-only
choir from Ann Arbor's Father Gabriel Richard High School. They
earned a #1 Superior rating at the March 2007 Choir MSVMA District
Choral Festival. Singing both a cappella and with accompaniment,
the Madrigals will display a wide range of musical styles ranging
from the popular to the sacred. They not only perform at school,
but throughout the community all they need is an excuse to
sing!

& PIANO DUO
The Cumming-Robbins Duo
Violinist Ian Cumming is a founding member of the Chelsea Chamber
Players. He performs in and around Chelsea and Ann Arbor. Renée
Robbins has an active piano studio in Ann Arbor. She collaborates
with many different southeastern Michigan musicians. For this performance,
Cumming and Robbins chose from their repertoire a broad range of
pieces including Mozart & Beethoven, American composer William
Grant Still and Ann Arbor composer Bill Bolcom.

MODERN
DANCE
by People Dancing with guests from Arts in Motion Student Dance
Company
People Dancing is a not-for-profit professional dance and expressive
movement organization led by choreographer-performer Christina Sears
Etter. In this performance, People Dancing will present intimate
dances from their current repertory along with lively modern dances
from special guest, Arts in Motion Student Dance Company. People
Dancing was honored with inclusion in the 2006-2009 Arts and Humanities
Touring Directory and toured to New York City in 2005 as the guest
of Artichoke Dance Company.
