Experience the magic of Brazilian music with Tudo Bem. Imagine a sweet, gentle breeze on a balmy beach and grooves that lift your spirits. Then say, Tudo Bem (All is Good). Tudo Bem features bassist Edie Herrold, guitarist Robert Tye, percussionist Dennis Sheridan, and pianist Dale Grisa performing intricate, intriguing and animated original pieces as well as leading works by Brazilian composers.

SHAKESPEARE IN THE COURTYARD
Residential College Players
The Residential College Players is a student-run theater organization that produces plays, both their own and those by famous playwrights. For this year’s UH Courtyard performance, under the direction of Kate Mendeloff, the RC Players will perform two scenes from Shakespeare’s earliest comedy, Two Gentlemen from Verona. The play will be performed in its entirety in the Arb June 5-22, 2008. Exploring issues of faithfulness in love and friendship, the play features Carol Gray, Craig Van Kempen, Kaela Parnicky and Ryan Smith, among others.

WORLD BEAT
Sunkwa with Kofi Ameyaw
Led by world‑renowned multi‑percussionist Kofi Ameyaw, Sunkwa expresses peace, unity, and culture through music. Ameyaw has toured the world, performing at major venues in both the US and abroad. In September 2007, he performed with the New York Philharmonic, and in ‘08 he will be performing with the South Dakota Symphony Orchestra and at the John F. Kennedy Center. Sunkwa's music has its roots in Ghana, but it draws upon the international styles of its members, such as traditional African music, jazz, pop and rock. Ameyaw is noted for his sensitivity in bringing joy to people of all kinds.

JAZZ QUARTET
The Greg McKinney Organza Quartet
Greg McKinney, known often as “Super G” McKinney, has lots of experience in the metro Detroit music scene, playing with many different bands. McKinney loves to play Motown, Rhythm & Blues and Classic Old School. In addition to working at UMHS, he leads this jazz quartet from the Hammond Organ.
