SOLO PIANO
Tad Weed
Tad Weed is a powerhouse of a pianist who relocated from Los Angeles to Ann Arbor. Weed has performed with some of the greatest names in jazz including John Patitucci, Mundell Lowe, Carmen McCrae, Charles Lloyd and Woody Herman. His artistically rich and diverse background allows him to bring different influences to his music. He has played concerts, clubs, television and radio around the world, and he is in great demand for his piano clinics, offered in collaboration with other well-known pianists throughout the US.

Voices in Harmony
Voices in Harmony, under the direction of Lynne Peirce, is a rapidly growing 65-member a cappella ensemble of women singing barbershop harmony. Constantly striving, the chorus thrives on education and experiences that expand their knowledge and skills as singers and performers. Based in Ypsilanti, Michigan and affiliated with Sweet Adelines International, Voices in Harmony provides fun, exciting and innovative entertainment in four-part harmony.

MARIMBA & FLUTE
Sam Livingston with Rachel Blumenthal
Sam Livingston traverses the musical landscape of the marimba, offering a taste of the its African roots, music from American composer Robert Aldridge, and the tango music of Argentinean composer Astor Piazzolla. Prior to coming to U-M to study music, Livingston performed with the Concord Chamber Orchestra in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. He now plays with the U-M Percussion Ensemble, and his eclectic, multicultural marimba music can be heard on their upcoming CD featuring U-M alumni composers. Rachel Blumenthal, from Chicago, Illinois, also a senior at the U-M School of Music, will accompany Livingston on the flute.

FOLK MUSIC OF THE 60s
The Fok Revival Band
Come hear "Blowin' in the Wind," "If I Had a Hammer" and other classic songs by Pete Seeger, Bob Dylan, Peter, Paul and Mary, Simon and Garfunkel and others. In addition, the show will feature traditional American folk songs performed on guitar, fiddle, mandolin, "bones" and folk flutes. The Folk Revival Band consists of twin brothers San and Laz Slomovits (also known as Gemini, Ann Arbor's nationally-known children's folk musicians), who came of age during the 60s. They will be joined on drums by U-M School of Music graduate and local music teacher, Mike Morrison.
