CLASSIC & GYPSY JAZZ
by the Treetown Swingtette
The Treetown Swingtette plays some of the best of traditional jazz, swing, and gypsy jazz. This acoustic quartet showcases the talents of Brian Delaney on guitar, Paul Winder on violin and viola, Erin Zurbuchen on upright bass, and Myron Grant on guitar, vocal, harp, and bones. Tight, dynamic ensemble arrangements feature guitar solos in the tradition of Django Reinhardt and Charlie Christian, violin solos in the styles of Joe Venuti and Stéphane Grappelli, and vocal interpretations reminiscent of Mel Tormé, Nat King Cole, and Jon Hendricks. Bass, harp, vocal scat, and bones solos add to the excitement.
