ACOUSTIC FOLK POP
by Al Bell and Mike Knight

Both guitar players and vocalists, Alan Bell and Mike Knight have a friendship that spans more than 10 years. They both have a longstanding passion for playing music with banjos, mandolins, the Appalachian dulcimer and a variety of guitars, including acoustic, electric, resonator and the blues slide guitar.  Al Bell, best known as the guitar player for the Cowcatchers, is a baritone, and Mike Knight sings tenor in the duo.  When not playing at Bluegrass festivals and performing locally, Bell is Media Coordinator for the U-M Medical School and UMHS hospitals, and Knight runs a video production lab at Washtenaw Community College.

GUITAR & VOICE
by Michael Casher & Carrie Wilson

Michael Casher’s musical lineage can be traced back to Mischa Mischakoff, as he studied with his son, Matthew Mischakoff, and lived with the family one summer while he was working at the Sinai Hospital.  He performs classical guitar in the Ann Arbor area and is the director of the UMHS Psychiatry Adult Inpatient Program at UH.  Soprano Carrie Wilson is a professional cantor who performs regionally in recital and musical theater performances and studies with celebrated tenor, George Shirley, Professor Emeritus of Voice at U-M.
