John LilleyNATURAL ABSTRACTION IN COLOR PHOTOGRAPHY
John Lilley

Based out of Dexter, Michigan, John Lilley discovers photographs in places often unseen or overlooked — designs, textures and forms that occur as small but distinct subsets of the broader landscape. Photographing since the 1960s, Lilley presents image content clearly and directly, even though the subject matter may not be immediately discernible. To provide superior tonal gradation and textural detail, he photographs primarily with large and medium format film cameras and then completes the process digitally. Prints are made using pigment ink on the highest quality rag paper.

Village Potters Guild

Founded in 1995, the Village Potters Guild of Plymouth is a non-profit, cooperative pottery studio comprised of 30 artists who share the common bond of a commitment to clay and a collaborative setting in which to work. The guild offers year-round ceramics classes, works with student artists from local high schools and participates in local art events. Along with Detroit’s Pewabic Pottery, Village Potters Guild co-sponsored and completed the tile wall mural at Plymouth Township Hall. Guild artists worked with community members and scout troops to build and glaze each tile.

Robert MullenixTREELINE: MIXED MEDIA PAINTING
Robert Mullenix

Robert Mullenix creates wooded landscapes which emphasize light and reflect his dual interest in painting and photography. In his pieces, both negative and positive shapes can be of equal interest. Mullenix works to bring about an interior experience for the viewer — what may only be sensed, intuited, known. Seeing creation in destruction, he works with a table saw, recombining elements, reevaluating and revising his ideas. Mullenix holds an MFA from the University of Illinois and lives and works in Oxford, Ohio.

Katrina RubyFRAGILITY & STRENGTH: GLASS AND MIXED MEDIA SCULPTURE
Katrina Ruby

Metro Detroit artist Katrina Ruby’s work is a juxtaposition of fragility and strength. The delicacy of the glass contrasts beautifully with the strength of the metal, and they work together to create a sense of stillness and calm. Ruby’s work is deeply influenced by nature. She recharges her creativity by returning to the rural land of her childhood, a small town in western Massachusetts. There she finds the peace, calm and beauty that nature has to offer.

CrawfordIMPRESSIONS IN FABRIC
Lenore Crawford
Lenore Crawford's fabric art combines her love of France — its architecture and flower gardens — along with her passion for color and realism. The texture and warmth achieved from the fabric itself, along with fabric painting, gives the art an impressionistic feeling that only this medium can produce. Crawford has won several prizes for her art, and she continues to develop and grow her medium and style in new ways.

Deborah Fehrenbach

Deborah Marie Fehrenbach’s two main loves are scuba diving and gardening, and you can see the inspiration in her designs. Her jewelry is playfully contemporary with a retro feel — bold yet feminine. Often mixing traditional techniques with the unconventional, her goal is to create forms that produce an energy and excitement for the women who wear them.
