Turner Geriatric Clinic

Welcome to Turner Geriatric Clinic, the outpatient program of the Geriatrics Center. Our goal is to help adults over the age of 60 lead healthier and more satisfying lives. Turner Geriatric Clinic provides quality patient care, health and wellness promotion activities, learning programs and community resource information. All of our staff have special training and an interest in working with older adults.

The Turner Geriatric Clinic is located at the East Ann Arbor Health and Geriatrics Center on the East Medical Center Campus. Patients are seen by caring primary care physicians and specialists who are among the most accomplished clinicians, researchers and educators in the field of geriatrics and aging. We are pleased that our clinical and research programs have both long been recognized as one of the country's "Ten Best" geriatrics programs by U.S. News and World Report.

Established in 1976, Turner Geriatric Clinic is a busy program providing comprehensive multidisciplinary geriatric assessment, as well as ongoing primary care for older adults. In the past year over 26,000 patient visits were recorded.

The Clinic is staffed by faculty and fellows from the Division of Geriatric Medicine, social workers, nurse practitioners, registered nurses, pharmacists and medical assistants. Faculty from the Departments of Endocrinology and Metabolism, Neurology, Neurosurgery, Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, Psychiatry, and Rheumatology specialize in the comprehensive assessment and treatment of older adults.

For convenience, the East Ann Arbor Health and Geriatrics Center has the following diagnostic services available: DEXA bone density scan, mammography, CT scan, MRI
scan, laboratory and routine x- ray. In addition, other ancillary services available are a retail pharmacy, Health Education Resource Center and Nutrition Services. The Turner Geriatric Clinic healthcare team has been providing quality patient care, health promotion activities, educational programs and community resource information for over thirty years.

Turner Geriatric Clinic offers a wide variety of health and wellness promotion programs, support groups, creative activities and educational learning opportunities that are open to everyone in the community.
