Silver Club ProgramsThe Silver Club Adult Day Program
This
social enrichment program is specifically designed to meet the needs
of older adults with memory loss. This group meets at the Turner
Senior Resource Center from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. on Tuesdays,
Thursdays and Saturdays, and at Brown Chapel, AME Church in Ypsilanti
on Mondays and Wednesdays from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. All activities
are appropriately adult-focused to stimulate memory and promote
continued independence. Activities include exercise, music, horticulture,
socialization and intergenerational sharing. An assessment will
be completed by one of the social work staff at Silver Club with
the perspective Silver Club member and family. Participants receive
a hot lunch and two nutritious snacks. Transportation is provided
at both sites if needed for a small fee. Services include educational

Coffee House
This ongoing support group serves individuals in the early stages
of memory loss. Members are encouraged to discuss their concerns,
frustrations, experiences and observations with each other. Stimulating
conversation encourages members to access feelings, release tension,
and celebrate life. The group meets on Thursdays from 9:45 a.m.
to 1:00 p.m. at the Turner Senior Resource Center on a continuous
basis. Lunch is provided. Services include educational support for
