Prescription Assistance Program

The prescription assistance program at the Geriatrics Center identifies patients in need of ongoing assistance in obtaining prescription medications. Social work support staff help patients apply for some of the medications they need through the assistance programs of pharmaceutical companies. As most of our patients take medications over a long period of time, the program insures that re-application materials are initiated on time, and that patients continue to receive ongoing medication support. When needed, patients are referred to other prescription assistance programs that may be available, such as the Washtenaw Prescription Assistance Plan.
