Learning Programs
Osher Lifelong Learning Institute
Who We Are. . .
Osher Lifelong Learning Institute at the University of Michigan (OLLIUMICH) is a program established in 1987 by a group of Turner Geriatric Clinic volunteers for people who share the love of learning. Formerly named Learning in Retirement, the program is designed to enhance our understanding of the world...its historic, cultural and social aspects...through lectures, minicourses and study groups.
Drawing on the rich resources of the university community, OLLIUMICH each year presents several lecture series, as well as classes and study groups. A broad range of topics includes philosophy, space exploration, politics, computers, literature and the arts, government and world culture. Headsets are available for the hearing impaired at no charge, and all sites are barrier free.
