The Sex Matters Clinic
The Sex Matters Clinic is a specialty program at the University of Michigan Health System targeting people who are 60 and over. The mission of the clinic is to provide comprehensive sexual health care for older adults. It is staffed by a physician and two sex therapists who are professionals with a specialization in treating sexual difficulties. Referral to the clinic may begin with self-referral or physician referral. Appointments are at the Geriatrics Center Clinics at the University of Michigan East Ann Arbor Health and Geriatrics Center.

Making an appointment
You may call (734) 936-0714 for more information or to arrange an appointment. A doctor’s referral is not necessary. However, your doctor can make the referral for you to this clinic by faxing (734) 615-4888.
When you call for an appointment, you will reach a confidential voice mail and you will need to leave a message. Our clinic administrative assistant will call you back and schedule your appointment. She will also be the person who greets you when you arrive at the clinic. She can answer many questions related to scheduling, billing, insurances, and locating the clinic. When scheduling your first appointment, she will take some initial information about your sexual concerns over the telephone.
As in all areas of the medical center, services within the clinic are confidential.
