U-M Geriatrics ranks 7th in U.S.News & World Report’s Best Medical Schools list
This year's edition of the U.S. News & World Report medical school rankings again confirms that the U-M Medical School is among the very best in the nation. U-M is listed 8th among research-oriented medical schools, up two spots from last year. The Medical School held its rank for primary care training, coming in at 8th again this year after rising from 20th in 2011.
In the "Best Medical Schools Specialty Rankings", U-M Geriatrics is listed as 7th among the top academic programs in the nation.
U-M Geriatrics among top 15 programs in U.S. News & World Report’s Best Hospitals ranking
Geriatric specialty care at the University of Michigan Hospitals and Health Center ranks 15th in the nation, according to the latest rankings issued by U.S. News & World Report magazine issued in July 2012.
The University of Michigan Hospitals and Health Centers are ranked among the country’s best hospitals for 2012, placing 17th overall. U-M is the only hospital in Michigan on the national honor roll, which signifies all-around excellence in multiple areas of specialized medical care, including geriatrics.
