Get Involved
Be a friend
There are two ways to get involved with Friends – become a volunteer or become a donor. Can’t decide? Go for both!
Gift Shop Volunteer
If you have a smile for everyone, like to meet interesting people and are fulfilled by helping others, become a Friends volunteer and work at one of our U-M Gift Shops. We offer flexible hours and scheduling, as well as the opportunity to make a difference in the lives of patients, families, visitors and staff.
Act now! Fill out this volunteer application and fax or mail it to Friends. (Fax number and mailing address are on the application.) If you have questions about volunteering, please contact Sandra Delfavero, Gift Shop manager, at 734-936-7476.
Become a Friend Donor
If you don’t have time to volunteer, but still want to support U-M patient care and health education, become a Friends donor.
Getting involved includes:
- Invitations to luncheons where you can meet and mingle with "friends" such as the volunteers, Friends Board, and other donors, and have the opportunity to hear from engaging speakers
- A biannual newsletter that keeps you informed about how the donated dollars are contributing to the mission of Friends
or fill out this mail in form (PFD) and mail it to the address on the form. If you have questions about becoming a friend donor, please contact Waitzy Brown at 734-615-6147.
