Community Education

In an effort to assist UMHS families with food allergy related issues that may arise, members of the UM Food Allergy Program are available to provide presentations to schools, preschools, camps, child care centers and places of worship. Topics would cover the fundamentals of food allergy, treatment of anaphylaxis, prevention strategies and the impact of the diagnosis on daily life.

Call to discuss your needs at 734-232-2161.

A monthly middle school food allergy support group has been formed. Hot topics will be discussed, support strategies nurtured and experts guest speakers will be involved. This group is supported by a physician, nurse educator and social worker. Parental support for the adolescent is critical. If you have any interest, call 734-232-2161.
