About Us

At the University of Michigan our specially trained physicians, who are board-certified in Internal Medicine or Pediatrics and Allergy/Immunology and have completed fellowship programs in Allergy/Immunology, provide care for patients with food allergies or gastrointestinal intolerances.

We have a specialized food allergy nurse coordinator to ensure transitions to school and child care is supported, accommodations are developed and treatment of reactions is planned. A registered dietician is also available to our patients and families to help navigate meal planning to ensure food allergic children get the nutrients they need. Often a diagnosis of food allergies can put stress on patients and their families. Our skilled social workers can provide guidance and advice to cope with these new challenges.
