Recommended Texts

There is no required textbook for this course. However, for those interested in starting their own cytometry reference library, I'm providing my personal recommendations. These are amazon.com links for your convenience as they generally offer discounts. Many of the texts can also be purchased directly from the publisher and may be found on ebay and other auction sites.

Practical Flow Cytometry

This is my absolute favorite flow cytometry resource. The writing style is very accessible, and I can not recommend this text highly enough.

Flow Cytometry and Sorting

This is out of print and, therefore, somewhat hard to come by, but it is an excellent reference book for flow cytometry. It is not an easy read, but is invaluable as a shelf resource.

Flow Cytometry - First Principles

A very good introductory text. Well worth the read.

Flow Cytometry: A Practical Approach

The author of this text also offers a very popular flow cytometry course. His insight into cytometric methodology is unparalleled.

Handbook of Flow Cytometry Methods

This is a must-have for every lab starting out in flow cytometry.

The Visual Display of Quantitative Information

Anybody who is thinking of publishing flow cytometry data should read this first!
