There are currently five Family Medicine Health Centers where Department faculty practice. These include Briarwood Family Medicine, Chelsea Family Medicine, Dexter Family Medicine, Family Medicine at Domino's Farms, and Ypsilanti Family Medicine. The Chelsea, Dexter, and Ypsilanti sites also include other UMHS primary care and/or specialty services. 

In addition to our five Family Medicine Health Centers, the Department also provides inpatient care. Inpatient care is provided on three teaching services at UMHS (University Hospital, Women's Hospital, and C.S. Mott Children's Hospital): Family Mother Baby (FMB), University Family Medicine (UFM), and Family Medicine Newborn (FMN). Inpatient care is also provided on the Chelsea Family Medicine (CFM) teaching service at the Chelsea Community Hospital.

Family Medicine medical services include: routine office care, gynecologic, family-centered obstetric and well-baby care, pediatrics, minor outpatient procedures (e.g., vasectomy, proctosigmoidoscopy, and endometrial biopsy), immunizations, alternative therapies, nutritional counseling, hearing and vision screening, geriatrics, mental health, and community health services.
