Green Purchasing refers to buying recycled, environmentally preferable, bio-based, or energy and water efficient products. Alternate fuel vehicles, products using renewable energy, and alternatives to hazardous or toxic chemicals are also examples of Green Purchasing. UMH purchases EPEAT Registered electronics, Greenseal and Ecologo cleaning products, and DEHP and PVC free products in many areas.
