How to Learn more about the Studies that are in My Registry

Welcome to the Engage Registry! These instructions will help you to navigate within the Registry once you have completed your consent and are officially enrolled.

The Engage Registry allows you to use tabs or links to navigate your account:

The My Studies link allows you to view all options from the links or from the other available tabs at the top of the page.

The Possible Studies link or the My Studies link will display those studies that you may be eligible for based on the information you filled out during enrollment.

Possible Studies are those studies whose criteria match the information that you entered into the Registry. Each study will need to screen you further in order to determine if you are eligible. The Possible Studies screen allows you to:

  1. If you'd like to learn more about the study (description, eligibility, contact information), click on the Title, Condition or IRB Number of the study.
  2. In order for a study to contact you, click on the checkbox next to the study and click 'Have the Selected Studies Contact Me'.
  3. Check any studies that you are not interested in and then click 'Remove Selected Studies' - this will also prevent those studies that you are not interested in from being able to view your information.
  4. If you are already in a study, check the box next to the study title and then select, "I am in Selected Studies". This will move the study to your 'Current Studies' List.

Contacted Studies link:
These are studies that you have asked to contact you by using the 'Have the Selected Studies Contact Me' button. This could have been through the Possible Studies List or the individual study details page (accessible by clicking on the study link). The studies on this list have received notification that you are interested in their study. They will screen you and either send an email indicating that you are not eligible for the study or call you with further questions to determine if you may enroll in the study. Please note that although a study may receive notification that you are interested, they may not be able to get back to you immediately. You may also want to try to contact a study through their contact phone or email, which should be listed in the details of the study posting (accessible by clicking on the Title name or IRB #).

Current Studies link:
Current Studies are those studies that you are currently participating in. Studies visible in this section have been marked as "I am in Selected Studies". This is to aid you in organizing your studies. If you have not marked any studies for this list, you will receive the message, "Sorry you are not currently in any studies"

Removed Studies link:
Removed Studies are those studies that you have removed from your other lists. These are the studies that you are not interested in. You can put them back on your Possible Studies list by selecting 'Return Selected Studies'.

Find Studies
The Find Studies link will display the Engage homepage in a new window. You can then click on 'Find Studies' if you'd like to search for studies without entering any of your information into the Engage Registry. You will see all of the available studies listed on Engage.

My Account
The My Account link allows you to update your account information.

On this page, the Edit Profile link will allow you to update the information you entered while enrolling into the registry, including contact preferences and enrollment questions, and provides the option for UM patients to provide access to their medical records. The Edit Profile link also leads you to the option of removing your account from the Registry.

The Enroll link will take you to the enrollment page where you can enter another person into the Registry. The enroll link allows you to enroll yourself, a child, or another adult as a Volunteer. By clicking on the corresponding link for each group, you will be guided through the consent process for each type of person. The consent forms will give you important information about the Registry, so please read them very carefully.

You will see the Change Account Link on your Volunteer Menu if you have entered information for another person in Engage. Simply click on this link to move between accounts.

Remove This Account link:
You may remove your account from the Registry at any time. Simply check "Yes, I would like to remove this account from the Engage Registry" and select 'Remove'. Your account will be removed. You may reinstate your account by contacting the Registry Keeper.

Logging Out
You may log out of the Registry at any time. The Log Out button is located at the top, right-hand corner of the page.
