| The Department of Emergency Medicine
has an established track record of transitioning junior investigators
through their early careers from resident to federally funded investigator.
Our fellows and junior faculty have received research training from
3 different mechanisms in the NIH K series, including 2 K08s and
funding from the K12 and K30 programs through the University. Our
department has competed successfully for student, resident, fellow,
and faculty grants from the Emergency Medicine Foundation and from
the Society for Academic Emergency Medicine.
Faculty members developing their research careers in the Department
have gone on to receive long-term federal funding in both the laboratory
and clinical arenas.
If you are interested in becoming a physician scientist in Emergency
Medicine, we are very interested in working with you. No matter
where you are in your career, please contact us to see what role
the University of Michigan may play in your future.
