The Adult Medical Observation Unit is an 18-Bed unit specializing in the care of short stay medical and procedural patients most of whom originate from the Emergency Department. Care is provided for a wide range of medical patients that require brief, but intensive monitoring and teaching. The nurses, physicians, and other care givers in the Adult Medical Observation Unit are experts in providing care in this specialized setting that requires acute assessment and treatment skills. Care is individualized to each patient and/or family in order to address and meet their personal needs.
