Professional Summary:
Dr. Trowbridge is currently a fellow in the University of Michigan
Injury Research Center (IRC) where his primary research focus is
pediatric motor vehicle safety. He has been working in the IRC with
support from an AAAM grant to participate in the on-going evaluation
of post-mortem computed tomography as a method of collecting pediatric
injury data following fatal motor vehicle crashes led by Dr. Mark
Sochor. Dr. Trowbridge is also interested in improving automotive-related
anticipatory guidance in pediatric populations. Towards this end,
he also recently completed a retrospective analysis of vehicle type
as a risk factor for fatal motor vehicle crashes involving teen
drivers. In 2005, Dr. Trowbridge was nominated to a 3-year position
on the Scientific Program Committee of the Association for the Advancement
of Automotive Medicine (AAAM).
