UMHS is the flagship site for the EM residency and attracts a high acuity and high complexity patient population. UMHS is a level I adult and peds trauma center.

St. Joseph Mercy Hospital (SJMH)

Hurley Medical Center (HMC)
Director: Diane Hallinen, MD hallinen@yahoo.com	Hurley Medical Center (HMC) is located an hour north of Ann Arbor in Flint, Michigan. It is a level I trauma center with a high prevalence of penetrating trauma and provides medical services to an underserved urban population. HMC is a secondary training site for the UMHS EM residency and serves as a major training site for the MSU School of Medicine.
