Certification Classes

As part of intern orientation residents will become certified in:

  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support/Basic Life Support (ACLS/BLS) Valid for 2 years.
  • Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS) Valid for 4 years.
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) Valid for 2 years.

Prior to beginning the EM2 year residents will become certified in Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP). Valid for 2 years.

The cost of these training programs will be paid by the residency program. Additionally, the cost to renew certification for ACLS/BLS, PALS, NRP will be paid by the residency program.
