Pediatric Emergency Medicine fellows are members of the University
of Michigan House Officers Association. The House Officer's
annual stipend is competitive with other training programs in the
area. In addition, the University provides health, dental and disability
benefits, as well as group life and professional liability insurance.
House Officers receive one month of vacation.
Pediatric Emergency Medicine fellows receive an annual CME stipend.
The fellowship program provides ACLS and ATLS courses and access
to an Emergency Medicine Risk Management course. The fellowship
program pays annual dues for membership in several societies. Funding
is provided for travel to one national meeting during the course
of the fellowship. Funds are available to support fellow research
projects and presentation of original research at conference and
seminars.
