Michigan Metabolomics and Obesity Center (MMOC) Small Grant Program
Small P/F grants of up to $5,000 are awarded to investigators who are interested in running samples in the MNORC cores. Translational studies generally are experiments done in humans, human derived samples, or studies that will establish the immediate feasibility of studies to be done in humans.
Out of the $5,000, one-third ($1,667) will come from the Michigan Nutrition and Obesity Research Center (MNORC), one-third ($1,667) will come from the Michigan Institute for Clinical and Health Research (MICHR), and the remainder from the awardee's department or division. Grants of less than $5,000 will also be divided into one-third from MNORC, one-third from MICHR, and one-third from the awardee.
Preference will be given to junior investigators, senior investigators who are investigating a novel area in their nutrition or obesity research program, and investigators who are new to the nutrition/obesity field. Awards will be determined on an ongoing basis until funds are exhausted.
Duration: One year
Amount: Up to $5,000 (one-third from awardee's department or division)
