Gestational Diabetes Class
The gestational diabetes class is scheduled through the High-Risk Obstetrics Clinic. They are for pregnant women who have been diagnosed with having gestational diabetes.
You will learn what gestational diabetes is, how it is diagnosed, and how to treat it with meal planning and glucose monitoring. The purpose of the treatment is to keep the blood sugar near the target range to decrease risks to the baby and the mother.
