About Us:
The University of Michigan’s Division of Metabolism, Endocrinology & Diabetes (MEND) opened a new, state-of-the-art clinic in the Domino’s Farms complex in northeast Ann Arbor in June 2009. This relocation to a much larger facility allows us to offer better, more comprehensive and coordinated care for our patients! The clinic serves adults who have diabetes mellitus; obesity; osteoporosis; abnormalities of the thyroid, adrenal, or the pituitary gland; or other hormone-related issues, as well as adult podiatry patients.
Features of the clinic:
- More space! 23,000-square-foot facility with 24 outpatient exam rooms
- Plenty of convenient, free parking onsite
- Specialized endocrine testing services
- Podiatry suite with dedicated exam rooms and treatment area
- Retinal scans for patients with diabetes
- Pre-Conception Clinic: A pregnancy planning program for patients with diabetes
- Diabetes Education Program taught by certified diabetes educators
- Comprehensive Weight Management Program
- On-site blood-draw station
- Opportunities to participate in research studies and clinical trials
