Play golf with U-M football celebrities and enjoy meals, gifts, prizes!

The public is invited to sign up for the 2011 Swing to Cure Diabetes Golf Outing at the University of Michigan Golf Course. Golfers are needed, as well as hole sponsorships and auction donations. Sponsors can be individuals, families, or companies.

THIS YEAR, along with Cathy Schembechler (widow of former Wolverines Head Coach Bo Schembechler), there will be visits by Gary Moeller (Wolverines Head Coach, 1990-1994) and new UM Wolverines Head Coach Brady Hoke.

Rich Hewlett, Ann Arbor attorney and former UM quarterback, and his wife, Chris, are hosts for this very special event in support of diabetes research. This is a labor of love in honor of their son Jeffrey, who at four years of age was diagnosed with type 1 (juvenile) diabetes.

As always, it promises to be an enjoyable day of golf, food, fun, and fellowship.

All proceeds from the event jointly benefit the Michigan Comprehensive Diabetes Center and the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation. The 140 golf spots are available on a first-come, first-served basis... so please register ASAP!
