Swing to Cure Diabetes Golf Outing

Meet U-M football celebrities and enjoy meals, gifts, prizes!

The public is invited to join us for this special event to benefit the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF) and the University of Michigan Comprehensive Diabetes Center. Swing to Cure Diabetes was founded by former University of Michigan football player and Varnum attorney Rich Hewlett and his wife, Chris. The couple began raising money and awareness for juvenile diabetes research after their son, Jeffrey, was diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes 12 years ago.

The annual golf outing is attended by many of Rich's former Wolverine teammates and coaches. Past Wolverine coaches and current Head Coach Brady Hoke will be in attendance on May 20 and available for photos!

Golfers are invited to sign up here. Hole sponsorships and auction donations are also being sought. Sponsors can be individuals, families, or companies. We hope to see you there!

6th Annual Midwest Islet Club Conference

The Midwest Islet Club Conference fosters greater communication and interaction between pancreatic beta cell biology investigators within the Midwest region. The meeting will be attended by both senior and junior investigators, with a decided focus toward students, postdoctoral fellows, and newly independent investigators serving as speakers.
