Molly Dwyer White
Program Manager, The Brehm Center
Molly Dwyer-White came on board mid-2012 as Program Manager of the Brehm Center. Molly works with Brehm Center Director, Dorene Markel, in identifying effective strategies and provides support to reduce barriers and improve collaboration in the pursuit of new knowledge in diabetes research. She assists in developing policies and standard practices to increase research infrastructure that compliments coordinated clinical care, consistent with the vision and strategic priorities of the Health System.
Molly formerly led the development and management of the Michigan Institute for Clinical and Health Research (MICHR) Community Engagement Program and the Research Participant Recruitment Program, where she oversaw institutional approaches to building partnerships, improving clinical research recruitment, and increasing the sustainability of volunteers and underrepresented populations into research protocols.
Before working at U-M, Molly spent years in program development, grant writing, and managing non-profit organizations. Her graduate coursework in Social Welfare and Public Health and her BA in Psychology and Fine Art helped springboard Molly’s passion for collaboration. This has resulted in work that fosters innovative community-engaged research — particularly in regard to facilitating multidisciplinary projects, as well as process improvement and implementation.
