Multidisciplinary Clinical Researchers in Training Program (MCRiT)

Sewon Kang, MD is director of a University of Michigan Medical School program that introduces pre-doctoral students from several disciplines to clinical research training. The Multidisciplinary Clinical Researchers in Training Program, which is the first of its kind in the United States, gives pre-doctoral students in medicine, dentistry, nursing and pharmacy the choice of a summer practicum or a 12-month degree track. Funded by a $3.2 million National Institutes of Health grant, the program implements novel, flexible institutional clinical research training and provides efficient entry of interested students into clinical research careers. This program is only open to University of Michigan students/fellows.
