Rosacea Research

Rosacea is a skin condition about which relatively little is known. A common variant is erythematotelangiectatic rosacea, characterized by flushing, redness, and development of superficial blood vessels, called telangiectasia. Telangiectasia also develops in patients with papulopustular rosacea, which manifests as redness and acne-like bumps. Similar telangiectasia develops due to substantial sun exposure. This project explores clinical and molecular differences between erythematotelangiectatic rosacea, papulopustular rosacea, and sun-exposed skin, with the goal of improving diagnosis and treatment.
