Dr. Ma received her M.D. from Beijing Medical University in 1994, a M.S. from the Department of Dermatology, the First Teaching Hospital, Beijing Medical University in Beijing, China in 1996, and a Ph.D. from the Department of Biological Chemistry from the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine in 2001. She completed residency training in Anatomic Pathology at Yale New-Haven Hospital, Yale University School of Medicine from 2001-2004, serving as Chief Resident in 2004. Following her residency training, she completed a fellowship in Dermatopathology from New York University Medical Center. Dr. Ma is board certified in Anatomic Pathology and Dermatopathology.
She joined the faculty of the Departments of Pathology and Dermatology as an Assistant Professor in July 2005.
