Pediatric Dermatology
Through the pediatric dermatology program - integrated and coordinated with general dermatology - you will gain an appreciation of the age-related variations in disease and disorders specific to children, as well as pediatric dermatology problems in the context of general dermatology.
Over the three-year residency, the faculty will teach:
- Differential diagnosis of neonatal dermatology.
- Differential diagnosis of common and unusual papulosquamous eruptions in infancy and childhood.
- Differential diagnosis of vesiculobullous and pustular eruptions of infancy and childhood.
- Differential diagnosis of nodules and tumors of infancy and childhood.
- Differential diagnosis of disorders of pigmentation in childhood.
- Differential diagnosis of reactive erythemas of infancy and childhood.
- Differential diagnosis of disorders of the hair and nails in infancy and childhood.
- Findings suggestive of child abuse or psychodermatologic disease.
- Therapy for patients with the above disorders in the specific context of the pediatric patient.
- Coding for services.
