TEMPORARY VISITOR RULES FOR ALL U-M HEALTH SYSTEM FACILITIES
Welcome to the University of Michigan Health System. This online guide includes general information to help patients, families and visitors navigate our Health System.
If you have specific questions about your care or visit, please talk to your health care provider.
While onsite, we encourage you to stop by one of our Welcome Centers if you have questions. Friendly, knowledgeable staff will provide directions to your appointment, help you find the patient you are visiting, direct you to the nearest ATM, public phone, restroom or gift shop, inform you where to find food, and much, much more. Information desks are at the following locations:
- University Hospital – This information desk is located near the main University Hospital entrance on Level 1. It is open from 6:30 a.m. to 11 p.m. on weekdays and from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. on weekends. To contact this Welcome Center, call 734-936-6641.
- C.S. Mott and Women's Hospital Welcome Center – This information desk is located in the Taubman Center, Level 2, at the entrance to/from Parking Structure A. The desk is staffed 24 hours a day, seven days a week. The Admissions/Business Services Front Desk is located inside the C.S. Mott Hospital entrance near Big Bird. It is open 24 hours a day.
- Taubman Center – Information desks are at the north end of the Taubman Center entrance. These desks are accessible from Parking Structure A on Levels 1, 2 and 3, and are open Monday through Friday, 6 a.m. to 9 p.m.
We also offer guides specific to patients and visitors of C.S. Mott Children's Hospital and our U-M Cardiovascular Center.
Because we believe that good health and health care do not include the use of tobacco, smoking is not allowed at the University of Michigan Health System. A map of the smoke-free areas (PDF) and information about our Smoke-Free Policy is available on-line or at any of the information desks.
