About the Compliance Hotline

The University of Michigan Compliance Hotline is a method for University employees to raise concerns regarding financial, regulatory, and patient safety issues.  The University of Michigan is committed to providing a safe environment where individuals can identify instances of fraud and other serious concerns. Callers to the U-M Compliance Hotline can remain anonymous if they choose.  However, please be aware that in some instances anonymity may hinder a thorough investigation.

Customary resolution methods, such as talking to your supervisor, are still important first-line approaches for reporting questionable activities. However, the Compliance Hotline is available whenever conventional channels are unknown or unacceptable, or the caller wishes to remain anonymous. The Hotline does not replace existing reporting mechanisms in the Health System or on campus, but rather will serve as an additional option. The one exception is that the Hotline will replace the Health System Compliance and Ethics Helpline.
